The mission of Golden State Forestry is to provide Wildfire Mitigation services to communities in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada that are underserved and typically unincorporated. Our priority is to serve aging populations and the disabled who may be on fixed incomes, to maintain safe access for emergency vehicles and to ensure their property is fire safe. Our goal is to help residents continue to reside in their rural communities by maintaining egress routes and performing wildfire fuel reduction.
We offer a variety of forestry consulting services, comprehensive environmental planning and project execution. With boots on the ground management and a proven track record working with local and state governments, GSF bridges the gap between public funding and impactful land management for rural communities. We are well versed in wildfire behavior, fire fuels management and fire fighting techniques so that our land management plans are practical and based on real fire science. We are funded through county contracts and State grants so that we can provide services that local governments lack the capacity and reach to execute.
Now! Our foothill communities are aging and most were developed prior to fire safe planning codes. As such, forests adjacent to homes and communities are overgrown and emergency vehicle access routes are impeded due to a lack of maintenance and funding. Additionally, our populations are aging and may be on fixed incomes, no longer able to maintain their property as they once did. We must act IMMEDIATELY to preserve a way of life and ensure the safety of communities.
